Artist's Description

This was the last picture I took with my Canon 18-55mm lens. Sadly, I was preparing to take my next round of pictures of a piano (see Ivory Delights) and had my camera set up on a tripod. As I was pulling the cover on the piano back, I bumped my tripod, sending camera and all crashing 4 feet to the ground on the slate rock floor of the chapel. Expecting the worst as the back side of the camera body took the brunt of the fall, there is only a small scratch on the upper left corner of the LCD. My 18-55mm lens wasn't so lucky. It no longer will auto focus and takes a hefty twist to manually focus it. Thankfully though, a new one is on its way......

About Jason Blalock

Jason Blalock

Howdy! My name's Jason Blalock. I come from the small, yet growing town of Rome, Ga. At age 29, I'm an aspiring amateur photographer that enjoys the world as his studio. I like to think that my pictures speak volumes on their own as I like to capture that details of everything that I photograph. I'm a Canon user and have recently upgraded to a 7D, 24-70mm f/2.8L and 70-200mm f/4L setup. I will also throw a 1.4 extender onto the 70-200 from time to time for that little extra reach. Don't be scared to leave comments on any photo's that you like. If you see something that "tickles your fancy" or that you just can't live without, I have absolutely no objection to you purchasing a copy or the original. :) Enjoy!
